Bdaily and Heartbleed

As some of you may be aware, there has recently been a lot of publicity regarding a bug in OpenSSL which has been dubbed Heartbleed. Of course, here at Bdaily we are not immune to such vulnerabilities and as such we have taken steps to patch and fix the Heartbleed bug.

While doing that, we also took the opportunity to update some of the services we have installed on our servers, which should see the Bdaily site run smoother than it has done in the past! If you noticed that the Bdaily website was down today, that was me updating services and increasing site security.

The Heartbleed bug is a serious security breach and we discovered that we were succeptable to it when we checked our site on filippo.io/Heartbleed. As you can see, we currently have the all-clear for the Heartbleed bug. If you have your own website and are using OpenSSL (or are unsure if you are), it would be worthwhile checking your site on that service.
