This week’s Yorkshire appointments
Gordons, Simon Glazebrook
Private client lawyer Simon Glazebrook has been promoted to partner by Yorkshire law firm Gordons.
Mr Glazebrook specialises in complex inheritance tax and succession planning, trust advice, and administration and planning issues concerning pensions and life policies.
Commenting on his promotion, Paul Ayre, managing partner, Gordons, said: “Simon has a fast growing reputation in private client law and already deals with, and has the trust of, some of the firm’s highest-profile clients.
“He cultivates outstanding professional relationships and grasps clients’ personal or business needs. We think he’ll make a big contribution to Gordons in the future, as we progress towards becoming the region’s leading law firm.”
Baker Tilly, Andy Capes
Andy Capes (above right with predecessor Andrew Mould ) has been appointed office managing partner at accountancy firm Baker Tilly in Hull.
In his new role, Andy will be responsible for managing the six partners and 55 staff at Baker Tilly’s Hull office in Humber Quays, Wellington Street West, which recently expanded following the firm’s merger with RSM Tenon last year.
LCF Law, Neil Lieberman
commercial disputes lawyer Neil Lieberman (above right) has joined LCF Law’s Leeds office as a consultant after previously running his own practice, Lieberman, in York.
Neil says: “Over the last eight years I have built up an extremely loyal client base and this was a key element in the decision to join LCF Law.
“The company shares the same level of client focus and attention to detail that has always been key to my success in the legal industry and this is a fantastic opportunity for everyone concerned.”

The law firm has appointed two apprentices as part of its ongoing commitment to nurturing young talent.
Joshua Haigh from Leeds joins the firm as an administrative assistant and Emily Chadwick, 17, also from Leeds, joins as a client support assistant.

Gregory Prop****erty Group, Andrew Foggitt
Andrew Foggitt (right) has joined Leeds based Gregory Property Group to help develop its portfolio of assets and seek new development opportunities in the residential sector.
Gregory Property Group chairman, Barry Gregory said, “We are delighted to bring Andrew on board. His sector expertise, development background and passion for the residential sector will be extremely valuable as we move into a new phase of site acquisitions.
“We are now actively seeking opportunities to acquire suburban sites to deliver modest new housing across Yorkshire and already have a number of sites under review.”
Barnsley & Rotherham Chambers, Lisa Pogson (Airedale)
Barnsley & Rotherham Chamber have recently confirmed Lisa Pogson as their new non-executive board director.
Lisa said on her appointment, “I hope that the passion and commitment which I have focussed on growing our own business can be reflected in my new role with the Chamber.
“I see it as a real opportunity for me to help shape and influence the local economy and see it grow and prosper.

KulaHub, Glenn Watkins
KulaHub, a specialist in cloud based customer relationship management marketing systems, has appointed Ecademy co-founder Glenn Watkins as non-executive chairman.
KulaHub MD Ben Teggin said: “Glenn’s strategic knowledge and powerful track record in digital marketing speaks volumes and we look forward to harnessing his expertise to turbocharge our goals.”
Yorkshire Bank, David Potts, Sharon Mapplebeck, Steve Brown and Lynsey Smith
David Potts, a chartered banker with more than 30 years experience in the sector, joins the team as a relationship manager.
Three new business development managers; Sharon Mapplebeck who has been with Yorkshire Bank for 23 years, Steven Brown who has joined Yorkshire Bank from Santander, and Lynsey Smith who has been with Yorkshire Bank for 10 years
