Newton Aycliffe door manufacturer creates 10 jobs following merger

A firm of Newton Aycliffe-based door manufacturers and suppliers say 10 new jobs have been created following a merger with a neighbouring joinery firm.

Caudex Doorsets Limited has joined forces with STAR Projects Ltd under the Caudex Vallum STAR group of brands, and are now targeting further growth through blue chip construction projects in the South East and South West.

Together the firms provide commercial and residential joinery services and are now looking to recruit 10 joinery and contract manager roles.

Caudex Doorsets Limited, which supplies across Europe, has fitted 400 McDonalds restaurants, and even installed their performance joinery products in Westminster Abbey.

The firm serve architects, specifiers, major contractors, sub-contractors and end-users across commercial, leisure, government and industrial sectors

Director Ian McSally says many of the firm’s window and door products are used in London refurbishment and construction projects.

He told Bdaily: “We have over 450 live projects across the UK at the moment. We’ve got a great deal of door and window experience from across the sector.

“Our customer base is particularly strong as we provide the complete solution for regional construction firms who have otherwise been ignored by the bigger players.”

An orderly winding down of Caudex Doorsets Limited will now take place.
