Discover Africa turns to digital PR specialist to drive conversions
Discover Africa, the tailor-made safari travel agency, has turned to integrated consumer and B2B PR consultancy PR Agency One to raise its profile and drive online sales.
The South African-based business wants to raise awareness of its extensive selection of safari holidays via use of ‘big content’. The first campaign will promote HerdTracker, a real time Google map, which shows instant updates of the migration’s precise location. This is coupled with a migration map, which publishes accurate monthly migration predictions, based on data from the Serengeti itself.
PR Agency One was appointed for its expertise in supporting ecommerce businesses with brand awareness and indirectly via SEO.
The Cape Town travel agency joins PR Agency One’s expanding roster of international clients. PR Agency One currently has clients located in the USA, Ireland, Holland and Switzerland.
Andre Van Kets, director of Discover Africa, said: “We needed an agency that was first and foremost a travel PR specialist but secondarily an expert in making ‘big content’, such as our herd tracker, successful. Understanding how ecommerce businesses operate and how PR can drive sales is a specialist skill but thankfully PR Agency One really get digital.”
James Crawford, managing director of PR Agency One, said: “We work with numerous ecommerce websites which use our digital PR services to drive sales and improve their search engine visibility.
“It is our digital PR offering which is driving our 30% year-on-year growth. To cope with demand we’ve recently doubled our office space to make room for new recruits to join the team and the next twelve months are looking bright.”
