New truck puts Events Solution on road to expansion

Sheffield’s Events Solution is investing in a brand new long distance truck to drive up the capacity of its business and meet increasing demand from customers.

The crowd control specialist has added another Mercedes Actros tractor unit to its fleet of commercial vehicles to service a greater number of events across the UK.

Events Solution will be using the heavy duty truck to transport large quantities of barrier and fencing to a wide range of public, entertainment and sporting occasions. The double sleeper cab will also accommodate two members of staff when overnight stays are required.

James Wood, Events Solution’s operations manager, said: “This recent acquisition takes the number of Actros cabs in our fleet to four. They are reliable, easy and safe to drive and offer excellent fuel economy, which is essential when you are touring as regularly as we do. As we move into our busiest time of year, having extra vehicle capacity will enable us to transport larger quantities of barrier to major gatherings and attend a greater number and variety of events than ever before.”

After its livery was added, the new truck joined Events Solution’s convoy transporting 15,000 metres of fencing and barrier to the London Marathon. This investment in its fleet follows an expansion of the firm’s product range earlier this year that saw it become one of the country’s largest stock holders of front of stage barrier.
