Cramlington’s Potts Print secure major Theatre Royal contract

Cramlington-based printing services firm Potts Print has beaten off national competition to secure a contract with Newcastle’s Theatre Royal.

The firm will provide all of the threatre’s printing and mailing requirements, which can top a million pieces of printed material each year - over half of which are posted to UK households.

Jo Kirby, director of Marketing and Sales at Newcastle Theatre Royal said: “Potts bowled us over with their pitch. They have an exceptional volume of experience from their near 140 years of trading, and yet are evidently also one of the most innovative, forward thinking, creative and environmentally responsible companies out there.

“As one of the UK’s most important theatres we produce and mail a vast quantity of publicity material every year, and we need a company who we could trust implicitly to deliver for us both on volume and quality.

“Our reputation is very important and this is critical to us. We are confident that Potts, one of the most respected and longest established print companies in the UK, won’t disappoint. It’s a great meeting of two esteemed North East institutions.”

Potts, which has its own environmental brand, Potts GreenPrint, provide lithographic and digital print services along with packaging and direct mail.

Potts Print (UK)’s sales director, John Conway said: “We are both thrilled and proud to have been chosen as the preferred print and mailing partner to the Theatre Royal Newcastle.

“This is a highly valued print and direct mail contract with the opportunity to develop a long term relationship with the Theatre and its sales and marketing team. It’s a great meeting of minds - we share a rich history in the region with a strong commitment to innovation and environmental stewardship.

“We have every confidence that the Theatre will be delighted with our work and that our relationship will continue to blossom.”
