Leeds casino operator attracts new business with tournament deal
Leeds’ Grosvenor Casinos has partnered with Derbyshire-based Redtooth Poker in a two-year deal
The deal will see Redtooth Poker’s regional and national finals move to Grosvenor Casinos across the UK, while all its online events will be hosted at www.grosvenorpoker.com/redtooth.
Grosvenor Casinos is the UK’s largest casino operator with 55 venues nationwide and holds Europe’s largest poker tour, the GUKPT.
In March, it hosted the second Redtooth Poker national final at Grosvenor Casino Sheffield, where the final ten places for the Vegas 100 trip were won by players across the UK.
Redtooth’s deal with Grosvenor Casinos will also see its annual national Pub Poker Champion play in the GUKPT, giving them the opportunity to compete for big money on the UK’s premier poker tour.
Martin Green, managing director of Redtooth Poker, said: “We are delighted to join forces with Grosvenor Casinos. The partnership will give our valued players an even better playing experience with one of the country’s top poker providers.
“Grosvenor Casinos are the perfect place for our regional and nationals finals which continue to grow in popularity every year across the UK.
“And through Grosvenor Casinos we can offer our overall national champion a special opportunity to take part in tournaments against the country’s best professional players.
“Also, our online events are now located on Grosvenor’s fantastic poker website, grosvenorpoker.com with a host of benefits available to existing Redtooth members.”
Russell Tamplin, head of Poker at Grosvenor Casinos, added: “We’re thrilled to formalise our partnership with Redtooth Poker having already worked together on several events. Pub poker is a great way to introduce new players to the game and ultimately to Grosvenor Casinos.”
Redtooth Poker, part of the Redtooth group, based at Barlborough in North Derbyshire was recently named the Best Poker League in the UK at the British Poker Awards in London.
