Commerce of Beatles heritage joins IFB 2014 roster
The Beatles Story museum is teaming up with Liverpool Hope University to host a symposium on ‘The Business of The Beatles’ under the auspices of the International Festival for Business 2014.
The event will take place on 26th and 27th June at the Capstone Theatre in Liverpool Hope University’s Creative Campus, and is aimed at delegates interested in general popular music heritage tourism and the business of Beatles-related heritage in Liverpool.
Business and research specialists will consider how and why popular music enterprise continues to create niche market opportunities globally, how copyrights are protected, and how the city of Liverpool is now more receptive to such exploiting these opportunities industries after previously resisting them.
The symposium will interest those wanting to know more about how the legacy of the Beatles is now handled by entrepreneurs in Liverpool, as well as the history of the marketing of this heritage.
The International Festival for Business is the largest global concentration of business events during 2014 and the 50-day festival runs across 7 weeks in June/July, attracting business delegates and trade intermediaries from around the world.
The symposium takes place at the Capstone Theatre on 26th and 27th June and is free to attend.
