Apprentice duo for adept4
Cheshire-based IT services company adept4 is building for the future by expanding its apprentice team.
The company, which is headquartered at Daresbury Park near Warrington, has made a start with the appointment of two new apprentices.
adept4 is looking to employ a total of five apprentices this year, and the two new starters Kieran Williams,18, and Aaron Spencerly, 20, will be based at the Cheshire site.
The pair will train with the company’s service desk team – gaining valuable customer service and IT support skills.
The new apprentices will be supported and mentored during the program, which will see them learn about and train in various aspects of customer IT support, as part of a practical three year programme to gain an NVQ Level 3.
During the process, the apprentices will shadow qualified members of staff; developing their IT support skills and gaining practical experience from adept4’s excellent customer care team.
adept4 CEO Peter Birkett, said: “Delivering unbeatable customer service is something that we’re genuinely passionate about at adept4. We’ve got a brilliant team in place and this is an element of the business which we take extremely seriously, so it’s a great environment in which to learn and train.
“Our customer service and IT support team play a crucial role in bridging the gap between our technical teams and our customers, so first-class communication and customer support is crucial and our team is really looking forward to welcoming our two new apprentices, who will no doubt find the experience extremely useful and make a great contribution to the business.
“Our last apprentice stayed with the business after completing her course and is now a Service Desk Analyst, so there are great job prospects for people who choose to take this route into the workplace and we’re very pleased to be able to support local young people who are taking their first steps into work and to be able to draw that talent into our business at such an early stage.”
adept4, which has offices in Daresbury, Aberdeen and London is enjoying a strong start to 2014, with turnover at the fast-growing SME expected to hit £6 million this year – a 30% rise on 2013.
The company has also more than doubled its staff in the last two years, taking its total team to over 50 and is continuing to recruit for people to fill technical positions at all levels within the company.
