Teesside app builders confirm success since launch

A firm of Teesside app builders say business is good, just six months into trading.

Mobile Rockit, which is a spin-off of Stockton-based web development agency, Koodoo Creative, says business is booming since launching in Novermber last year.

The firm was founded by Sam Whisker and Adam Lee, and is supported by mentoring from Teesside University’s DigitalCity.

The team developed its app builder platform which allows sole traders and SMEs to create their own mobile app with minimal effort.

The North East Chamber of Commerce is currently working with Mobile Rockit to inform their members of the service and to offer it to members at a discounted price.

Sam said: “Everything has been really hectic with trade shows, working with the NECC and our reseller in Nottingham who are specialists in the education field.

“Everyone we have spoken to loves the idea and everyone sees the need for it in their business.

“Our clients range from a butcher whose customers people can order meat through the app through to recruitment agencies where people can apply for jobs.

“We’re now in talks about taking the product to Hong Kong. It’s really exciting and business is growing every month.”
