Angela delighted to be back in Birtley
Just weeks after moving away from Birtley, Angela Smith is delighted to be back in the town she called home for 14 years.
Having relocated to Durham, Angela, 54, landed the role of Sales Executive at The Sycamores – a development of 195 three and four bedroomed homes being constructed on disused scrub land to the east of Birtley.
She said: “I am so pleased to have the opportunity to work in the town where I have so many friends and can’t wait to get started on what is an exciting development.”
Part of the Gateshead regeneration project – a partnership involving Gateshead Council, registered housing provider Home Group and developer Galliford Try Partnerships North – the striking and innovative design of the properties and the attractive lay out of the development, which includes public open spaces and a play area, has already attracted a lot of interest.
The contemporary and environmentally friendly executive homes, will be built by the developer’s house building division – Linden Homes.
Continued Angela: “Close to the A1 and with good transport links to both Newcastle and Durham, Birtley has a well-established town centre offering good amenities and facilities and a soon to be developed Morrison’s supermarket will create around 250 new local jobs. I’m sure the will attract a lot of interest.”
Phil Brown, Development Director with Gateshead Regeneration Partnership, said: “With over 25 years of experience as a sales executive and an in depth knowledge of the local area, Angela is the perfect person for potential buyers to speak with. We look forward to her returning to Birtley when the sales office opens later this year.”
