Sage lend support to Thinking Digital Conference with unique ticket opportunity
Software firm Sage have revealed their sponsorship of this year’s Thinking Digital Conference on Tyneside - the event dubbed “the UK’s answer to TED”.
The firm will lend support to the upcoming conference at Sage Gateshead, which boasts a speaker bill including musicians, world renowned technologists and top international journalists.
Sage’s support includes a unique scheme to allow bloggers, journalists and social media experts to experience the conference for free.
Hopefuls can sign up here for the Sage One Street Team, and in return for reporting on the conference via tweets, instagram and vine, among other platforms, they will receive passes for the event on May 20-22.
In addition to a free conference pass, participants will get access to the Opening Party, the Main Conference Dinner and the Farewell Party which all come with free food and a free drink.
Paul Lancaster, Content & Social Media Specialist at Sage, said “I’ve been to many great events and conferences over the years but Thinking Digital is easily my favourite for the sheer range and quality of speakers, ideas that are shared and interesting conversations that occur when you’re there.”
“Everyone should experience Thinking Digital at least once which is why we’re offering people who otherwise might not be able to afford a ticket the chance to be there for free in return for blogging, Tweeting and sharing their experience with the world as part of our new Sage One Street Team.”
Herb Kim, the organiser behind Thinking Digital, said: “It’s a huge honour to have the UK’s leading software company, Sage, return as a major sponsor of the Thinking Digital Conference.
“They’re being hugely creative and inclusive with their Sage One Social Media Street Team concept. Being completely honest I’d love to be on it myself! Fans of Thinking Digital should really take advantage of the offer to join the Conference via the Street Team. It’s going to be a great experience.”
The last batch of speakers for Thinking Digital has just been announced and includes Blaise Aguera y Arcas, head of Machine Learning at Google, Gerard Grech, the new CEO of Tech City UK and the BBC’s Tony Ageh, who lead development of the iPlayer.
