Keycare salutes Yorkshire’s Women of Achievement

Keycare has been delighted to show its support for Yorkshire’s inspirational women by being a sponsor of the Yorkshire Woman of Achievement Awards 2014.

The awards, which have five categories, recognise and celebrate the success of some of Yorkshire’s amazing women, while raising vital funds for Sue Ryder Wheatfields Hospice.

Rachel Taylor, daughter of Keycare’s late founder Geoffrey Parker, presented the Yorkshire Woman of Achievement in Business category to Lesley O’Brien, partner with Freightlink Europe/Freight Train at a ceremony on Friday, May 9 at the Royal Armouries in Leeds.

Rachel, a director and shareholder of Keycare and Chairman of PTF Locket - a company which manages the families’ business interests and charitable contributions - says the accolades are wholly aligned with Keycare’s deep-rooted ethos to put something back into the communities it supports.

Rachel commented: “Hearing about the winners’ exceptional achievements was very humbling. It has likewise been tremendous to help the Sue Ryder Wheatfields Hospice which provides a specialist palliative care service and improves the quality of life for those living with, or affected by, a serious illness. Many thanks also to our guests for attending and celebrating this special occasion with us.”

Keycare - which recovers and replaces lost or stolen keys for customers of household names and blue chip organisations - has a long history of raising money for worthwhile causes. Past beneficiaries have included Yorkshire Air Ambulance and Martin House Hospice in Boston Spa.
