Sports Direct in talks to buy LA Fitness gyms

Sports Direct are rumoured to be in talks with LA Fitness to buy 33 of the chain’s gyms across the UK.

In March LA announced a major restructuring effort to reduce its debts, and now Sports Direct have been linked to the firm.

The sale is being staged via a Company Voluntary Agreement and LA expects to transfer its employees to the buyers.
