Events Solution in spotlight for premiere season
Sheffield’s Events Solution is proving to be a film industry favourite when comes to keeping stars safe on the red carpet.
The crowd control specialist is midway through a run of work that will see its pedestrian barrier used at a total of 22 film premieres in London over a four month period.
Working on conjunction with main contractor, Capital Barriers, Events Solution has so far provided protection for celebrity guests at the launch of films including Muppets Most Wanted in Mayfair, Noah and most recently, X-Men Days of Future Past, both in Leicester Square.
The firm’s barrier is lined up on each side of the red carpet to keep journalists and fans at a safe distance from the movie’s stars. The portable fencing is popular with premiere organisers as it can be deployed quickly in almost any configuration and gives a uniform finish that can be decorated with the film’s branding.
James Wood, Events Solution’s operations manager, said: “The movie season is incredibly busy and will see us travel to London multiple times a month. In May alone we are catering for the launch of eight films, alongside the range of other sporting and entertainment events we cover. Setting up a UK premiere without bringing the capital to a halt requires careful planning and we relish being part of an operation that comprises so many professionals, each with a different, yet equally important, role to play in its success.”
Event Solution’s heavy duty pedestrian barrier is suitable for medium to high crowd pressure. The one piece panels interlock to provide a solid fencing line and have a triangular base that is designed to prevent them sliding.
