Yorkshire electrical wholesaler reaches 750 employees and £100 million sales in 12 months

Wakefield’s YESSS has become the UK’s fourth largest electrical wholesaler, just 12 months after opening its first branch, with annual sales of over £100 million, almost 100 branches and more than 750 employees.

Adam and Ashley Mackie set up YESSS (Your Electrical Supplies, Service and Solutions) in 2012 in a market worth an estimated £3 billion annually.

With support from general managers Richard Kay, Andy Singleton, Graham Lockwood, Mark Abbey and Mark Nolan plus a solid core of 14 industry experienced regional managers, YESSS Electrical is now one of the UK’s fastest growing companies.

A year on from its UK launch YESSS has served more than 14,000 customers from large electrical contractors to sole-traders and home improvement consumers. The firm has multiple new branches opening from Brighton to Belfast, and Enfield to Edinburgh.

Adam Mackie said: “This first year of growth has been phenomenal for us, and has shown us that the electrical industry was more than ready for something new.

Adam’s brother Ashley said: “Our devotion is to sell excellent quality products and brands in a customer focused environment. We gave our image a great deal of thought and have been dedicated and passionate to the YESSS creative process.

Technical installation knowledge and expertise about the long term benefits and ‘pay-back’ periods are also available from the branch teams as part of the company’s long-term commitment to the green sector.
