Applethwaite Homes chooses Harrison Drury for new Lancashire development

Law firm Harrison Drury has been appointed by a renowned Lake District property developer to support the sale of new homes in Lancashire.

Applethwaite Homes, a division of the Eric Wright Group, has enlisted the firm’s property team to advise on all legal matters on the sale of homes at its Tennyson Drive development in Bispham.

The recent level of interest in the 34 home project, which comprises a mix of three and four bedroom semi-detached and detached properties, has encouraged Applethwaite to release plots from phase two of the project early.

Naomi Fell, director at Harrison Drury, said: “The Tennyson Drive project was developed in response to the demand for quality affordable housing in Bispham and these properties boast a sought-after location close to local shops and popular schools.

“It is essential for property developers to be protected legally, especially with the complexity of the Help to Buy scheme. We are pleased to be working with a company as renowned as the Eric Wright Group on the delivery of these homes.”

Mike Henry, director at Applethwaite Homes, said: “The Help to Buy scheme has fuelled an increase in property purchases due to higher loan-to-value mortgages. This is attractive to first time buyers and young families, which along with expanding our service to the Lancashire area, has driven the project to success.”

Applethwaite Homes is a niche residential developer and has created luxury properties in Kendal, Windermere and Bowness.

Tennyson Drive is Applethwaite’s second development in Lancashire. The company recently completed a high-quality retirement development in Silverdale and is also building a new 24-home scheme in Wesham.
