HR2day announces growth plans with new senior appointment
A company that specialises in helping SMEs stay on top of health and safety legislation and employment law is seeking to double in size within the next 12 months.
HR2day, based in Darlington, has just recruited a new business development manager whose remit is to help small-medium sized businesses understand where they are failing to comply with legislation.
Avril Leach has 28 years’ experience in liaising with clients and helping to manage their needs in Manchester, Leeds and the North East.
Nicky Jolley, founder of HR2day, said: “Avril’s appointment is a significant step forward for us. As an 18-month-old business we have already made great strides in helping SMEs and larger businesses to understand their compliance needs.
“We have four qualified and experienced HR and training consultants and are planning to increase that number as Avril helps us to develop the business.”
Avril said many businesses put off seeking advice on compliance, often until it was too late.
“It may be that they don’t know what they need to know, while others believe they are immune to it,” she said
“I understand that the last few years have been about survival for a lot of SME owners, but at the back of their minds they know they also need to keep on top of the legislation.
“We come in and identify the gaps, help them fill those gaps and become an extension of the team, allowing owners to focus on running their business safe in the knowledge that it’s all taken care of.”
Nicky, who has 17 years’ experience in HR including ten in the oil and gas sector, also provides retained HR support to a range of businesses in the hospitality, manufacturing and care homes sector, as well as large industrial companies such SSI, OES Oilfield Services Group and Palram.
For businesses that already have HR staff, HR2day offers training and staff development programmes and strategic management consultation for senior executives.
