The event was held at the city’s historic St George’s Hall and hosted by travel journalist Simon Calder.

A bespoke cocktail, created by award-winning restaurant chain Viva Brazil, was presented to all guests as they arrived - and they also were greeted by the fanfare of Brazilian drummers and dancers. Guests also enjoyed an exclusive performance from the cast of ‘The Lion King’ musical, currently playing at the Liverpool Empire theatre opposite the hall.

The awards, held on behalf of the Liverpool City Region Local Enterprise Partnership and now in their fourth decade, recognise the value of Liverpool’s tourism industry and its contributors.
