Planning secured for offices on Saltwell Business Park
Newcastle-based property developers Adderstone Group have secured planning permission to build a series of offices on the second phase of the Saltwell Business Park scheme in Gateshead.
The former Joicey Road School site will host four, two-storey office buildings, providing up to 12,000 sq ft of of office and studio space -with parking.
Phase 1 of the scheme includes a purpose-built children’s nursery and office space occupied by businesses including JC Consulting and Advanced Cutting Tools.
Adderstone are hopeful that SMEs will be attracted to the established park, which was first developed in 2009.
Computer generated proposals for the development include striking artist’s impressions of the building, created by Miller Partnership Architects based in Ouseburn, Newcastle upon Tyne.
Adderstone Group CEO, Ian Baggett said: “We’re keen to press ahead with Phase II of this development, especially after the strong success of the initial phase of works, so we’re keen to partner up with SMEs who are looking to establish themselves in this area for the long term and who will add value to the locality through employment and investment.”
