South Yorkshire firms invited to ‘business bootcamp’
Businesses in South Yorkshire are being invited to a ‘bootcamp’ to help ensure they avoid missing out on future opportunities for growth.
According to the Office for National Statistics (ONS) the UK economy expanded at its fastest annual pace since 2007 in the first three months of 2014.
To help local firms get ‘fighting fit’ Sheffield-based accountants and business advisers Royston Parkin are hosting a free Business Bootcamp at the Hilton hotel on June 5.
Royston Parkin, managing director at Lynn Pridmore said: “During the recession a lot of companies had to make cutbacks in order to survive. Now the economy is growing they need to rethink their strategy.
“We’re running this event for free as we want businesses across South Yorkshire to thrive and to do that they need to continually assess their strengths and areas for improvement. As the economy expands businesses need to be ready to expand with it or else risk being left behind.
“Similar to physical training, our bootcamp will offer companies the skills and knowledge needed to become stronger and more efficient. And as with all good training plans, be they in the gym or workplace, it’s about setting realistic goals and adopting the right mind-set to achieve them.”
During the half-day event at the Hilton Sheffield hotel on Victoria Quays businesses will discover how to differentiate themselves from their competitors, enhance their brand identity, provide six star customer service , spot the windows of opportunity and ensure they always get paid on time.
