Isle of Man gearing up for involvement in IFB 2014
The Isle of Man will be hosting a number of events at the International Festival for Business 2014 (IFB 2014) in Liverpool this summer.
The Isle of Man Department of Economic Development is the government body tasked with stimulating economic growth and jobs on the Island, and sees IFB 2014 as a key opportunity to strengthen existing links as well as forge new global opportunities.
The theme for the first week of the festival is Maritime, Logistics and Energy, and the Isle of Man will kick things off on the 9th June with a unique opportunity to view the most advanced electric racing motorbikes that have been developed which will have recently competed in the Isle of Man TT Zero event.
In the same week the Isle of Man Maritime Group – which includes the Isle of Man Ship Registry as well as many specialist shipping and yachting businesses – will host a series of events showcasing the Isle of Man as a centre of maritime excellence on 11th and 12th June.
The 12th will also see the Isle of Man SuperYacht Forum present on the history of the industry, and the variety of services provided by forum members.
In line with the Isle of Man Government’s pro-business strategy called ‘Where You Can’, there will be a series of breakfast events designed to show why the Isle of Man is such an optimum business location for many sectors.
