Recognition for MBNA’s support for vulnerable customers
Chester-based MBNA has received an industry-leading award recognising the way it supports vulnerable customers.
MBNA was awarded “Best Collections and Recoveries Department” in the Consumer Credit Team of the Year category at the coveted Credit Today Awards, an annual showpiece celebration hosted by the UK’s leading magazine for the consumer and commercial credit industry.
MBNA’s team was praised for its “strong customer focus”, which was “evidenced by excellent customer feedback”.
Jonathan Biggin, MBNA’s chief operating officer, said: “The Credit Today awards are widely recognised and celebrated by our contemporaries across many industries, not just financial services, so we are delighted with this award. It is fantastic recognition of our continuing commitment to making life easier for our customers, particularly those who may be facing financial challenges.”
MBNA was also a finalist in a range of other categories in the awards:
Fraud Prevention Team of the Year Best Use of Technology Credit Card Provider of the Year Consumer Collector of the Year Martin Williams Award for the Contribution to the Credit Industry – for its Specialised Collections Team
