North East insurance brokers launch apprenticeship scheme
A top North East insurance broking firm has launched an apprenticeship scheme to find the brokers of tomorrow.
Henderson Insurance Brokers, which runs offices in Teesside and Newcastle, is inviting graduates as well as school and college leavers to apply for the five available graduate and apprenticeship schemes.
Successful applicants will be given the opportunity to work across the different locations, allowing them to gain experience within specific disciplines, including healthcare, risk management, private wealth and surety services.
The firm has also pledged to provide intensive support throughout the news starters’ vocational professional qualifications.
Emma Simkins, director at Henderson Insurance Brokers Teesside, said: “These are excellent opportunities to start in the dynamic and very rewarding world of insurance broking.
“The wide-ranging schemes are suitable for both school leavers and university graduates and they provide real career prospects and the opportunity to progress within the business.
“Successful applicants will have the opportunity to work and gain experience throughout all the divisions within the business in order to determine which discipline is best suited to both the individual and the company.”
In addition to Henderson’s graduate scheme, the firm works closely with the Learning Skills Partnership (LSP), which has resulted in additional permanent appointments within the Henderson Group.
Emma added: “Apprenticeships are essential in today’s day and age, as they offer valuable experience in the workplace with the apprentice receiving vital qualifications too.
“Henderson Insurance Brokers is very supportive of apprenticeship programmes and giving enthusiastic individuals the opportunity to get onto the career ladder.”
