Igence Software Limited to open a new office in Manchester
One of the UK’s leading high performance software engineering companies, Igence Software Limited, is due to open a new office in Manchester city centre later this month with a technical team led by James Tasker and Rod Cobain as commercial contact for the region.
Both are experienced individuals from the Igence head office in Surrey and will be joined by team members recruited from the Manchester area.
The new office will deliver bespoke software engineering services and solutions for complex and often high risk – high integrity systems. Igence works with both public and private sector clients across a range of industries including transport, energy, aerospace and defence and industrial engineering.
The directors at Igence were keen to open a new base in the north of England and chose Manchester due to its central location, proven record of innovation and opportunities for new business.
Dave Knight, founding Director of Igence Software, said: “I am really excited about the opening of Igence’s new office in Manchester. This is an important step for us in the growth of the company, which enables us to bring our wealth of experience in successfully delivering complex projects to a wider client community.
“Opening an office in Manchester gives us a great opportunity to be of service to a range of clients who believe that their unique software development needs will be best met by a local, highly experienced and motivated team. We are looking forward to taking on some interesting and challenging projects.
“Our new offices will initially be seeded by experienced Igence software engineers and this team will be enhanced with additional software engineers recruited from the local area.
Our aim is to help them build their capabilities and provide an outstanding software development service to our clients. I am sure that our open and empowering culture will encourage highly motivated and talented people to join us on this next step in our development.“
Tim News, chief executive of MIDAS, Manchester’s inward investment agency which supported Igence in their decision to choose Manchester, said: “Igence Software Limited is a welcome addition to the growing network of successful software developers based in Greater Manchester.
“With such a diverse range of industries in the region requiring increasingly sophisticated and robust software, it makes absolute sense for Igence to leverage Manchester for the market opportunities, talent availability and its thriving ICT sector.”
Igence will hold a showcasing event at their Fountain Street office on 20 June 2014. Local businesses are invited to meet the team and find out more about the company and its many successes. For further details and to register please email rod.cobain@igence.com
