Taylor&Emmet invites employers to tribunal update

Sheffield’s Taylor&Emmet LLP is equipping local employers with the essential knowledge they need to defend potentially damaging claims from unhappy staff.

The firm’s employment law team is inviting businesses to the latest in its series of free events, focusing on the impact of recent changes to the tribunal system.

Hosted by Taylor&Emmet partner, Jenny Arrowsmith, How to Successfully Defend Claims in the Employment Tribunal will be held at the Leopold Hotel in Sheffield city centre on Thursday June 19. It will help delegates put their organisation in the best position to defend a tribunal claim successfully.

Taylor&Emmet’s experienced litigators will explain how the new ACAS early conciliation system works in practise, along with exploring each stage of the tribunal process. They will also be offering tips for disposing of claims as quickly as possible and building a successful defence.

Jenny said: “Tribunals can be a huge drain on time and resources, particularly when organisations do not have the expertise internally to dedicate to this complicated process. We want to ensure people managers are aware of recent changes to the system and have a basic understanding of what is required to successfully defend claims. Only then can they make an informed decision about how to act in the face of a potential claim.”
