Death of North East businessman John Wall is announced
The North East businessman behind AIM-listed Proton Power Systems, John Wall, has died - the company’s CEO has announced.
Mr Wall, a graduate of Newcastle University worked for PwC in the UK and US before retiring in 2004, and led Proton to AIM listing.
He previously chaired North East construction firm Adderstone Developments and held a non-executive directorship of Bond Dickinson LLP.
Mr Wall was also instrumental in establishing Newcastle’s now Metro Radio Arena.
Dr Faiz Nahab, CEO of Proton Power said: “I am very saddened by the death of John whom I worked with and known as a friend for the past six years.
“John joined the board of Proton Power in 2006 at the time of its admission to AIM, and has been key in developing Proton Power in both executive and non-executive roles and recently as chairman of the Company.
“On behalf of all at Proton, our condolences are extended to his family.”
