Celebrating success: TLWs promising Solicitors

TLW Solicitors is proud to announce that two of its litigation executives have recently completed training contracts with the firm to become fully qualified solicitors. Gabbie MacDonald and Vanessa Waugh will join the Professional Negligence department as they embark upon the next stage of their career.

The solicitors will be dealing with mortgage mis-selling claims where clients have suffered a financial loss as a result of receiving negligent advice from a broker who owed them a duty of care.

Welcoming Gabbie and Vanessa to their new positions, Head of Professional Negligence Sarah Spruce said; ‘during their time at the firm Gabbie and Vanessa have actively demonstrated expertise, determination, and a passion to obtain the maximum compensation available for their clients. I’m delighted to welcome both solicitors to my department’.

TLW Solicitors encourage employee training and progression within the firm, recognising efforts which contribute to the firms continued success and growth strategy.

Following University, Vanessa Waugh joined the firms Road Traffic Accident department in 2009 assisting fee- earners before being promoted to a fee- earner position.

Awarded a training contract in 2011, after an internal interview and presentation process Vanessa said, ‘TLW Solicitors have actively supported me throughout my progression and I look forward to continuing to contribute to their success throughout my career as a solicitor’.

The Professional Negligence department also benefits from newly qualified solicitor Gabbie Macdonald, who brings extensive experience in a wide range of legal areas including Road Traffic Accidents, Personal Injury and Civil Litigation.

After graduating in 2007, Gabbie gained considerable work experience in a well-known North East Firm before joining TLW Solicitors as a litigation executive in 2009. Gabbie said ‘qualifying as a solicitor at TLW was an important milestone in my career having studied law at uni. TLW is a very good place to work so I was happy to be offered a position as a solicitor within the firm’.

She added, ‘I have always found client satisfaction highly rewarding and motivating, and so I admire TLW’s goals and values, and the fact the client’s best interests are always of paramount importance’.

TLW Professional Negligence Team specialise in a wide range of Individual and Business legal services including Interest Rate Hedging Product (IRHP) compensation and Mortgage Mis-selling claims.
