Housing market buoyant in North West according to Lancashire removals firm
The housing market shows no signs of slowing in Lancashire, according to Chorley based removals and storage firm, Andrew Porter Limited.
Bookings for the home removals company are the highest they have been in five years. The firm has confirmed up to 30 house moves a week for the busy summer months.
This is in contrast to a recent announcement from the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), suggesting that momentum in the housing market was starting to slow.
Managing director of Andrew Porter Limited, Tim Aspey commented: “Despite hearing the suggestions that the housing market may be slowing, here in the North West, the reality appears to be very different.
“This summer is set to be our busiest for home removals since 2009 and we are really pleased to see the improvements.
“As a result, my advice to people planning to move is to book your removal as early as possible, because dates are already filling up fast. This way you can ensure you get the move date you want, then relax and concentrate on making plans for your new home.”
RICS announced that property prices are expected to grow 5% a year over the next five years. The survey indicates that the rise in property prices will result in fewer properties changing hands.
Andrew Porter Limited has been operating from its base in Adlington, Chorley for more than 40 years and carries out home moves throughout the UK and Europe, as well as worldwide. The firm has its own in-house training centre, complete with mock house, where staff perfect their removals skills.
