Award-winning Midlands law firm expands wills and trusts team
The wills, trusts and estate planning department at award-winning law firm FBC Manby Bowdler is welcoming a familiar face to Shropshire as it expands the team in the county.
Partner Margaret Rowe is moving from the firm’s Wolverhampton office to Telford and will be working across the Shropshire region with the five-strong county team.
Mrs Rowe, who lives in Ironbridge and joined FBC Manby Bowdler from Hatchers in Shrewsbury in 2011, said she was delighted to be joining her colleagues in Shropshire.
She said: “We are seeing a real uplift in county cases involving disputed probate, elderly client matters and Court of Protection enquiries as well as more general wills, trust and estate planning work. This is an area of law in which we specialise and so it made sense to consolidate that expertise within a dedicated Shropshire Wills, Trusts & Estate Planning Team.
“It’s great to be back working in Shropshire with my colleagues Jane Hughes, Andrew Burn, Sophie Yates and head of department, Julie Burn. They are a fantastic team working in both Telford and from our new offices at Juneau House on Shrewsbury Business Park.”
The team focus on all aspects of wills and probate work, and elderly client matters, including estate planning and succession. Mrs Rowe is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners and also a member of Solicitors For the Elderly.
Heading up the team is Partner Julie Burn, who specialises in Court of Protection work where she is able to act as a Professional Deputy, making decisions for individuals who lack capacity to do so themselves.
