Sheffield branding firm helps Yorkshire cake artisans set up shop
A Yorkshire cake business is on a roll with help from Sheffield-based branding agency Tonik.
The artisan fruit cake business, Tipple Tails has gone from strength to strength since beginning work with Tonik 18 months ago.
Tipple Tails cakes are now stocked in deli’s, farm shops and cafés across Yorkshire, including Harrogate-based Fodder and will be stocked in the prestigious Selfridges food halls at the Trafford Centre and Bull Ring in Birmingham from next month.
For Jane Stammers, founder of Tipple Tails, using a local branding agency was very important as her business ethos centres around utilising local talent, from sourcing the ingredients right through to the packaging and marketing.
Jane believes that the branding by Tonik has been fundamental to the business’ success. She explained, “I wanted the customers to enjoy the whole Tipple Tails Cake experience – yes, we make delicious cakes but without the fabulous branding they would just be delicious cakes; with the help of Tonik they are so much more!
“Tonik understood exactly where I was coming from right from the off – they interpreted the brief better than I could have ever imagined.”
Sarah Simpkins, director of Tonik, said “Tipple Tails was one of the first projects we worked on and as a new business we were delighted with both the client and public reaction to the branding.
“Jane was a pleasure to work with and she was thrilled with the branding we came up with. As a business develops so does its brand and that’s why we continue working with our clients long after the original branding is complete.”
