Insolvency firm teams up with business recovery experts and target major expansion
Leading independent insolvency practice Berry & Co has joined forces with corporate recovery specialist Jonathan Cooper and his team to create an a new firm.
The newly-formed Berry & Cooper has a projected annual fee income of £2.6m and plans to open a nationwide network of offices within the next 12 months.
The firm, based in Lloyd Street in Manchester city centre, is led by Berry & Co founder and insolvency practitioner Stephen Berry, alongside Cooper, who has incorporated his experienced team of corporate recovery specialists into the new business.
Berry & Cooper will call upon a six-figure business development and acquisition fund to execute its growth strategy, which includes the recruitment of five additional insolvency practitioners across the UK.

Jonathan Cooper said: “Plans are already in place to spread our wings beyond Manchester and the North West and we intend to expand our footprint into as many as five different locations over the next year.”
Berry & Co was founded by former solicitor Stephen Berry seven years ago and delivered a number of high-profile restructuring projects, including the much-publicised administration of law firm Wolstenholmes LLP.
Jonathan Cooper is a highly regarded corporate recovery specialist with a successful track record in business turnarounds over the past ten years.
