Monotype Partners With Celtra to Improve Dynamic Advertising Workflow
Celtra to Integrate Monotype Web Fonts to Help Brands Deliver High-Quality
Content Across Multiple Screens Using HTML5
London, UK, 23rd June, 2014: Monotype Imaging Holdings Inc. (Nasdaq: TYPE), a leading provider of typefaces, technology and expertise for creative applications and consumer devices, today announced it will partner with Celtra Inc. to help brands more easily deliver highly dynamic advertising content across multiple screens. Available later this month, Celtra will integrate Monotype’s Web fonts into its AdCreator 4 platform, the first cross-screen HTML5 technology for brand advertising that enables agencies, media suppliers and brands alike to create, serve and measure the success of high-quality digital display ads across smartphones, tablets and desktop. Web fonts are a critical component to responsive design and dynamic advertising, and through this partnership, Monotype will enable Celtra to deliver a wide range of typefaces that help brands and advertisers easily produce consistent and crisp text rendering across high-resolution displays.
“The digital display advertising ecosystem is becoming increasingly complex and advertisers need an easy way to consistently deliver their brand message across an ever-expanding range of screens and devices,” said Matevz Klanjsek, Co-founder and Chief Product Officer at Celtra. “Web fonts are a crucial part of brand consistency, and by joining forces with Monotype, we’re offering our customers an easier way to access some of the most popular typefaces. This will not only help them maintain a unified brand experience but will also make ads lighter and faster to load.”
Celtra will integrate Monotype’s wide collection of font families representing some of the most popular typestyles used in branding and advertising, including the Helvetica®, Univers®, ITC Avant Garde Gothic®, Trade Gothic® IT, and Futura® typefaces, among others.
Traditionally, digital ads were created and then attempted to scale to various mediums, often compromising the quality of the text and disrupting brand consistency. Using HTML5, Celtra and Monotype will empower brands to more quickly act on advertising opportunities and consistently deliver their brand and message across screens – without compromising quality. Celtra’s AdCreator 4 is a self-service Web-based platform that is built to run responsive design, large-scale and complex ad campaigns. By integrating Monotype Web fonts directly into AdCreator 4, designers can pull fonts directly into the ad during the creation process and scale the text to any size screen or resolution without pixelation.
“Our partnership with Celtra removes the barrier to entry for responsive design and advertising and will offer immediate value to our customers,” said Chris Roberts, general manager and vice president of the Creative Professional business unit at Monotype. “Together, we’ve developed an easy way for brands to create more dynamic and personalized content on the fly and capitalize on new advertising opportunities.”
