St Helens glass manufacturer Pilkington UK appoints Citypress to its PR brief

Stockport-based glass manufacturer Pilkington UK - part of the NSG Group - has appointed integrated communications agency Citypress to lead its UK-based trade PR brief.

Citypress, which secured the agreement following a competitive tender, will provide a content-led programme spanning traditional trade media channels and the company’s digital platforms.

The agency will help the Pilkington brand to engage with its key audiences in the architecture, specification and glazing industries.

Anne Quayle, marketing manager at Pilkington UK, said: “Citypress has devised multi-channel campaign that will strengthen and deepen engagement across our customer and stakeholder bases.

“Their integrated approach aligned to the shifting consumption habits of our key audiences, coupled with the team’s insight and understanding of our core markets, made Citypress a strategic fit for our long term commercial objectives.”

Ricky Ambury, director at Citypress, added: “The Pilkington brand is a household name with a pedigree for innovation that stretches back to the nineteenth century.

“Our role is to help ensure this famous name remains synonymous with cutting edge technology and design within an industry driven by research and development.

“This is an exciting opportunity for us to support the future of one of the biggest names in the building products industry through a programme that will deploy the full breadth of our service offering.”

Pilkington UK was founded in St Helens in 1826. Today, Pilkington architectural glass remains one of the most widely used products across the construction sector.
