Statement awarded contract to design and develop Calderdale College External Funding Unit’s new website.

Statement, an award-winning design, digital and marketing agency in Wakefield, are working alongside Calderdale College to develop a new website, showcasing the success and importance of their External Funding Unit.

Calderdale College offer subsidised training for businesses through managing the Skills Enhancement Fund on behalf of the West Yorkshire Consortium of Colleges and they also manage the Workplace Learning contract.

They are both funded through the European Social Fund and co-financed by the Skills Funding Agency, which means that the Workplace Learning contract can offer fully funded training for businesses and individuals.

The college appoints relevant training providers using these funds and, once appointed, monitor the training provided, ensuring that the qualifications are of a high standard and that the trainees are happy with the quality of their provision.

The college also offers bespoke training to suit specific business needs, along with coaching and mentoring to facilitate the excellent practice that they pride themselves on.

They work hard to provide training that benefits companies and their operational needs, but also individuals from a variety of backgrounds - working hard to improve their skills, confidence and career prospects.

To be selected for this project is an exciting opportunity for Statement, as the company prides itself on working with community-led organisations, working hard to promote education and training in the business sector.

Statement has worked in the digital industry for over 15 years and has provided design, digital and marketing services to a wide variety of businesses across the Leeds City Region, along with specialist eCommerce and branding services.

Statement has also worked with educational and training organisations in the past, with clients such as Leeds City Region Skills Network, Wakefield College, HEART Partnership and School Speakers.

Joanne Patrickson, director of External Funding at Calderdale College, summarises the partnership:“We’re thrilled to be working with Statement on the development of our new website.

“The website will provide the opportunity to showcase the success of the work of Calderdale College’s External Funding Unit, as well as raise awareness of our many ESF & non ESF funding opportunities and provide information for our existing delivery partners.

“We deliver large scale projects right across the North of England, Yorkshire and the Midlands and work with over 300 partners across the UK; therefore the new website will enable us to highlight the magnitude of what we do and will be instrumental in marketing the unit on a national level.”

Dan Conboy, director of Statement, adds: “We’re really looking forward to working with the Calderdale College team, and to translate their success and vision into their new web presence.

“At Statement, we place a strong emphasis on working together with our local education partners, so this project is ideally suited to our values and business ethos.”

The new website is scheduled to be live in the Autumn.
