Art Exhibition Opens Its Doors At Manor Walks
Visitors to Northumberland’s largest retail and leisure destination this July will have the opportunity to take in a series of artworks during an exhibition designed to celebrate home-grown talent.
Fine art and photography students from Cramlington Learning Village have unveiled examples of their artwork at the new Venue in Dudley Square at Manor Walks Shopping & Leisure as part of their very first public exhibition.
Manor Walks’ general manager Bruno Coppola said: “Manor Walks is set in the heart of the community and Cramlington Learning Village is situated on our doorstep so we’re pleased to be working alongside the school and Digital Community Youth to host ‘Imaginari’. It has been great to see the exhibition take shape. There is a range of pieces on display so I’d urge everyone to pop along and take a look
“At Manor Walks we strive to provide a real variety of events for our loyal visitors to enjoy and this exhibition forms just part of our exciting summer offering.”
Cramlington Learning Village’s Emma Longstaff added: “Over the course of their studies our Year 13 fine art and photography students have created some outstanding artworks and we’re very excited to be unveiling the students’ final pieces at ‘Imaginari’, which is offering the students their first opportunity to have their work displayed outside of school and in a public environment.”
The free week-long exhibition, which opened its doors on Thursday for its preview evening, showcases the work of 13 students from Cramlington Learning Village and will be open daily at The Venue in Manor Walks’ Dudley Court until Friday, July 11 2014.
Digital Community Youth project manager Mick Harland said: “We are delighted to be hosting ‘Imaginari’ from Cramlington Learning Village at The Venue. As a community-centric facility The Venue is becoming a real hub for arts and culture within Cramlington and we are committed to helping to harness and showcase local talent.”
With over 100 retailers including Northumberland’s only multiplex cinema and a great range of family restaurants as well as high street favourites, independent stores and 1,500 free parking spaces, Manor Walks Shopping & Leisure in Cramlington offers a huge amount of choice to suit a range of tastes.
