Work starts on new homes bringing £10m to North East economy
Work is now underway on a new development of 126 high-quality homes in Middlesbrough. Story Homes have begun building on the site at Stainsby Hall Farm, Middlesbrough, which will be known as Kingsbrook Wood. Through use of local workers and suppliers it is estimated the development will bring £10m to the local economy during the four years of construction. The development will include detached and semi-detached homes with three and four bedrooms, which will be released for sale in summer 2014. Sales Manager Susan Pollard said: “This is our first development in Middlesbrough, and our second in the North East, and we’re delighted with the location. “At Story Homes, we specialise in building high-quality homes that help people create the lifestyles they’ve always dreamed of, which is why we have become known as a ‘developer of choice’ for stunning new properties in the North of England. “Kingsbrook Wood is ideally situated for modern living, just off the A174 with easy access to the A19, good schools nearby and great leisure facilities such as Hemlington Lake and Recreation Centre and Middlesbrough Municipal Golf Centre not far away.” Site Manager Julian Bulman said: “Story Homes uses the best local contractors to make sure our homes are built to a superior standard. “It is important to us as a company to put back into the areas our developments are located in by using local suppliers and workforce.” Kingsbrook Wood will have ample areas of well-designed public space, creating a pleasant and harmonious environment for people joining the community there. With its reputation for creating stylish, comfortable homes to suit all kinds of residents, Story Homes is anticipating a keen demand for Kingsbrook Wood. Lindsey said: “Interested customers can join our online mailing list to be amongst the first to find out about timescales, availability and prices.”
