hlw Keeble Hawson kicks up charity bootcamp challenge
hlw Keeble Hawson associate Antony Ball has helped to raise £700 for a local charity after completing a series of gruelling military fitness challenges.
Antony, an associate in the firm’s family law team, joined local solicitors, mediators, life coaches and financial advisers from Doncaster and Rotherham Collaborative Lawyers group, which organised the event at Hall Cross Academy, Doncaster.
Funds raised from the military fitness challenge are supporting Kids In The Middle - a charity backed by family law and mediation firms which raises funds to support 250,000 children in the UK whose parents undergo divorce or separation each year.
Says Antony: “It was a great collaborative effort with everyone throwing themselves into the spirit of the event as our fitness levels were tested to the limits”.
“Kids In The Middle is tremendous in supporting children undergoing an extremely distressing time. At hlw Keeble Hawson we see and hear at first-hand about children struggling and in need of advice, and we were more than happy to be involved.”
Duncan Fisher at Kids In The Middle said: “Following the declining number of online support services, we are working towards launching a dedicated provision to support young people, with the backing of lawyers, teachers and family courts that all work with separated families.
“The military fitness event was a huge success and we are so thankful to members of the Doncaster and Rotherham Collaborative Lawyers group who rose admirably to the challenge!”
hlw Keeble Hawson is one of Yorkshire’s biggest law firms with offices in Doncaster, Sheffield and Leeds.
