Hargreaves appoints business development head to drive growth
Leading air movement and ventilation ductwork supplier Hargreaves Ductwork Ltd has appointed Ewing Thompson as the company’s new head of business development to spearhead its strategic growth programme in the UK and overseas.
With 30 years’ international experience of HVAC and process services projects, Mr Thompson joins Hargreaves with a wealth of sector knowledge. His previous experience also includes senior roles withthe M+W Group, Crown House, AMEC and Motherwell Bridge.
His impressive track record includesheading up the bid team for the GSK Bio Tender in Belgium, which he then went on to manage as project director. He was also instrumental in setting upa self-perform pipework operation and established a cleanroom fabrication shop in Durham to service the prefabrication of ultra-high purity pipework.
Managing director Tim Hopkinson says: “Ewing’s knowledge, experience and understanding of the industry will prove invaluable to the business. We look forward to working with Ewing to develop new opportunities within key market sectors.”
His new remit is to help Hargreaves achieve an ambitious growth plan by identifying new prospects and leveraging existing client relationships, with a focus on building upon the company’s expertise in nuclear applications, both in the UK and world-wide.
