Bradford supply chain group eyes 40% growth after 5 year contract with bathrooms manufacturer

Bradford-based Advanced Supply Chain has secured a new 5 year contract with bathrooms manufacturer Ultra Finishing Group.

The deal will see Advanced working to help grow Ultra’s revenues by around 40%.

The company supplies a range of bathroom accessories including baths, taps, showers and heated towel rails to consumers and trade across the UK. It sources from across China and contacted Advanced to look at streamlining its international supply chain.

Mike Danby, CEO at Advanced said: “Ultra manufactures high quality products, which prove popular across the UK. It was keen to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of its supply chain in a bid to grow revenues, while also increasing levels of customer satisfaction through better picking and delivery schedules.”

Tony Wood, CEO at Ultra added: “Advanced is helping us to ensure the quality of our supply chain is as good as the products we’re moving and selling.

“Working together, we are reducing administration and processes, while freeing-up warehouse space and improving the overall end-to-end operation. This is already benefitting productivity, driving outputs and the number of daily dispatches to customers.”

Advanced posted its most successful year to date in 2013, with an 18.9% increase in turnover, from £36.5 million to £43.4 million.

Advanced Supply Chain was also named as one of The London Stock Exchange’s ‘1000 Companies to Inspire Britain’. Its strategy for growth has always been based on investing revenue and profit back into the business and developing its team.
