Private sector join forces to plan Liverpool’s 2015 MIPIM presence
Representatives of four leading private sector organisations have joined forces with Liverpool Vision to plan the city’s strategy for the 2015 edition of MIPIM: the annual real estate trade show in Cannes, France.
MIPIM – Le marché international des professionnels de l’immobilie (marketplace for International property professionals) – takes place on France’s Côte d’Azur between March 10 and 13 next spring.
The property sector movers and shakers which form the MIPIM steering group are representatives of developer Peel Holdings, professional services company Deloitte, law firm Brabners and commercial property company Bruntwood.
Ian Pollitt, development investment surveyor at Peel Holdings said: “MIPIM is the principal international showcase for development opportunities and we are beginning our planning early to ensure the city region makes the most of the opportunity.
“We’re working closely with Liverpool Vision to organise the city’s presence and aim to make MIPIM 2015 the most valuable ever.”
Chris Brown, Director Marketing Liverpool said: “Liverpool had a very strong presence at MIPIM in 2014 and through the work of the steering group we are sure that at MIPIM 2015 we will have an even stronger programme supported by an increased number of private sector partners.
“These are exciting times for the city with the announcement of the International Festival for Business returning in 2016 and several major projects coming forward.”
The four parties are:
Colin Sinclair, Bruntwood
Jeff Gillbanks, Brabners
Sean Beech, Deloitte
Ian Pollitt, Peel Holdings
The four parties will meet regularly over the coming months to direct a private sector led approach before refining the city’s attendance plan in partnership with Liverpool Vision and Marketing Liverpool.
Already 17 partners have signed up to support Liverpool’s presence at MIPIM Cannes 2015 including: Peel, Deloitte, Bruntwood, Brabners, Grosvenor, Countryside, Harcourt, Castlewood, Liverpool BID, Chester Falconer Hall and Innov8 with further announcements to be made in September.
