Gareth Singleton appointed to drive BDO growth in East Midlands
Accountancy and business advisory firm BDO LLP has announced a new Lead Partner for the East Midlands to drive the team through its next stage of growth.
Gareth Singleton, an audit partner who has been at BDO, and formerly PKF for 15 years, has been appointed as Lead Partner to the 150-strong team across the three offices in Nottingham, Leicester and Lincoln with immediate effect.
Commenting, Gareth Singleton said: “Businesses are hungry for growth – and we’re no different. It’s an exciting place to be, and I’m delighted to take on this new role. We’re investing in talent, our premises and sector specialisms, and have a great team on the ground in all the key regional cities.”
BDO, which provides audit, tax and advisory services to businesses operating in both domestic and international markets, is already planning on growing by 20 per cent this year. The team also has significant sector expertise, including manufacturing, real estate and construction and not-for-profit.
Gareth added: “With a return to form for our region’s businesses and an increasingly active transactional market, the focus now is on investment and growth. We want to be at the very centre of those decisions for our clients and provide them with the best service around. I know this team is the right mix to do exactly that.”
In March 2013, BDO merged with accountancy firm PKF creating a firm of 3500 people across the UK. In addition to the three offices in the East Midlands, BDO has regional presence in Scotland, North West, Yorkshire, West Midlands, East Anglia, South East and South West.
