Sheffield recovery firm Wilson Field opens Durham office
Sheffield turnaround and insolvency specialist Wilson Field has announced the opening of a new office in Durham to serve the North East of the UK.
Expanding from its headquarters in Sheffield, the firm now counts offices in Leeds, Bristol, Cardiff, London and Swansea with the Durham office, manned by four financial consultants, serving as the latest of its regional growth locations.
Wilson Field has driven an aggressive growth plan since its creation in 2001 and helps companies to continue trading when faced with financial difficulty and in cases where the business is unable to continue trading, can act in an administrative capacity.
Ben Smith, senior consultant at the Durham office, said: “The new Durham office for Wilson Field continues the company’s philosophy of being very accessible and friendly to businesses which are facing difficulties.
“The work we undertake requires us to fully mesh with our customers and cannot easily be undertaken at distance and so establishing this outpost allows us to properly service a broad area across the North East of the country.
“We have previously worked with Wilson Field on an intermediary level and have a great deal of experience in the area and together, we recognised that bringing the support of a well established business with Wilson Field’s pedigree to the North East would help us to secure the levels of work that we are aiming for.”
Based at Aycliffe Business Park, in Newton Aycliffe, the office will serve a swathe of contracts across the North East from Wetherby in the south, to Northumberland at its northernmost point.
Phil Meekin, head of marketing at Wilson Field, said: “We are delighted to announce the opening of our Durham office, which will focus operations around the Durham area but will also cover a large section of the North East, which we have formerly had a limited amount of access to.
“The team we have appointed to run the office are all very experienced debt managers and have a great deal of knowledge of the area so are well placed to help raise the profile of our business across the region.”
