Architectural practice announces promotions

Multi award-winning architectural and interior design practice HLP (Howarth Litchfield Partnership), has recently announced a series of promotions within its Durham office.

Currently enjoying a period of growth, as it continues to win new appointments across the education, hotel and leisure, healthcare, historic and residential sectors, HLP has promoted four of its talented team to associate level.

Promoted from within, in recognition of the significant contribution they continue to make to the success of the practice, are Lisa Orrick, Michael Glen, Stephen Tudball, and Michael Robinson. The four new associates span all disciplines within HLP; including architecture, interior design, conservation architecture and architectural technology.

Further to this Elisa Berry has been promoted to senior associate level.

Speaking about its multi-disciplined team and the practice’s growing reputation for its creative flair and bespoke approach to each project undertaken, director, Neil Turner said:

“I am delighted to say we have a very talented and creative team of architectural and interior designers working within the practice who continue to make a positive contribution to its ongoing success.

“ This latest raft of promotions is reward for and in recognition of that contribution and reflects my belief that, as we begin to enjoy a period of growth, and continue to win industry accolades, such as the recent RICS and RIBA awards for Treetops, a stunning contemporary residential project, our development plans for the practice will reap rewards. Our new associates will now take a more active part in rolling out those plans across all the sectors.“

HLP’s Treetops project has also been shortlisted in the national AJ Retrofit Awards and RIBA’s Manser Medal, which is the equivalent to the Stirling Prize, both of which will take place in London later this year. It is the only north east based project to be shortlisted in both Award schemes.
