Leeds home tech specialist receives recognition for £80k high tech home cinema

Leeds home technology specialist Finite Solutions has won major international recognition for an £80k high-tech home cinema installation project that it completed in London.

The prestige project won the top accolade for ‘Best Home Cinema between the value of £40,000 and £100,000’ by the Custom Electronic Design & Installation Association (CEDIA), a worldwide governing bodyfor the design and installation of electronic systems for the home.

The award is a major coup for Finite Solutions. director, Simon Mathieson said, “You can’t get better than CEDIA for recognition of excellence. It has a very strict judging criterion which looks at the technical delivery as well as the overall aesthetic and meeting the client brief.

“We managed the entire process to renovate the room and installed a big screen cinematic experience; complete with surround sound and Matinee style Fortress cinema seats.”

Finite Solutions was established in 2002 by three former Leeds University students who collectively gathered complimentary skills in working practice across IT, electrical contracting and home entertainment technology before forming.

The business has achieved incredible success over ten years and now operates in Leeds, London and Manchester to serve regional markets.

The CEDIA Awards recognise the crème de la crème of smart home installation worldwide. Each category is judged by an expert panel drawn from the worlds of architecture, interiors, property, IT, smart home journalism and custom installation to ensure high scrutiny of every entry.

Finite Solutions owns what is currently the UK’s most technologically advanced show home that allows property developers, architects and designers – and their clients – to road test digital systems and play with high-tech kit prior to specification.

The £1 million show house in Yeadon, Leeds features not only the very latest gadgets currently on the market, but also incorporates the world’s finest audio, cinema, lighting, security, IT and telecoms systems.

The technology allows an iPad or iPhone to operate lighting, electric blinds, gate entry, CCTV, security alarms and heating. The property even has a perimeter security barrier heat detection system.
