Sheffield software development firm 3Squared awarded £70k RGF funding

Software development business 3Squared, based in Sheffield, has been awarded a £70k grant from the Regional Growth Fund to advance its competency management solution with the rail sector.

The support from the RGF will allow 3Squared to grow its business, recruiting in the local area for talent to support the development and sale of the RailSmart solution.

Tim Jones, managing director of 3Squared, said: “This is fantastic news and shows that the Sheffield Local Enterprise Partnership recognises the importance of development within the digital industries.

“As a result of securing this funding, we will be able to create new jobs and have a dedicated resource to commit to expanding our software specifically for the rail sector.

“We are very excited about developing the software to bring real efficiencies and savings for rail sector businesses.”

3Squared’s Competency Management tool is part of the SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment and Quality) software suite, a range of products aimed at improving both the safety and efficiency of a workforce in a range of industries from construction and manufacturing to rail.

3Squared is a software development consultancy with offices in Sheffield and London.
