UK's largest indoor music festival at the Ricoh Arena
Two DJs whose debut singles reached No. 1 in the UK charts this year will be performing at the UK’s largest indoor music festival at the Ricoh Arena.
Route 94 hit the top spot in February with ‘My Love’ while Second City repeated the feat in May with ‘I Wanna Feel’.
The DJs are among a wide range of acts who have signed-up to the Outbreak Festival which will be held over Halloween weekend on Friday, October 31 and Saturday, November 1.
Among the first acts to also be announced are techno DJs Germany’s Matthias Tanzmann, American Lee Foss, Canadian Heidi and the UK’s Patrick Topping along with reggae and dance-hall legend David Rodigan.
The Ricoh Arena will be split into different arenas with other artists confirmed including house music DJ Darius Syrossian and Sheffield electronic dance music DJ Kidnap Kid – whose track ‘Vehl’ was awarded the Best Electronic Song of 2012 by iTunes in America. Chris Hogg, of the organisers’ team Outbreak, said the second Outbreak Festival at the Ricoh Arena would be bigger and better.
“Outbreak Festival is the largest indoor music festival in the UK and we have added many different arenas of music so there is something for everyone,” he said.
“The first phase of artists which we have released indicates the high calibre of performers who will be entertaining fans at the Ricoh Arena.
“There are plenty more artists to be announced and the super early bird tickets have already sold out since those that came last time, want to come again!”
Justine Hewitt, stadium manager at the Ricoh Arena, said there will be six stages each day throughout the venue including in the Jaguar Indoor Arena.
“The Outbreak Festival in March was the first festival we had held at the Ricoh Arena and it was a fantastic success,” she said.
“The lay-out and space we have at the Ricoh Arena means it is ideal to hold a music festival. There will be 100 artists performing over two days which is a first for the Ricoh and they will be playing tracks from cutting-edge underground music to dance anthems.
“There will also be a fun fair and VIP area so it promises to be an amazing event!”
Daily early bird tickets priced from £29.50 plus booking fee are available for Friday, October 31 and Saturday, November 1 and early bird weekend tickets are on sale from £45 plus booking fee.
