Work completed on £5 million Sheffield student development
Construction of a major new Sheffield city centre student apartment development has been completed.
The £5 million Portobello project at the junction of Rockingham Street and Portobello Road was designed by the team at award-winning Sheffield architectural agency Coda Studios.
The seven-storey structure in iconic black brick was finished on schedule and will now house more than a hundred student beds.
“We are delighted that this important project has been completed,” said Coda Managing Director David Cross.
“The construction work was carried out by a local contractor and that brought more work into the local economy, which is something we always aim to achieve in all our projects.
“This truly is a flagship project for Coda and we truly believe that we have created a distinctive city centre landmark and one that brings new life and vitality to the heart of Sheffield.”
