Doncaster Chamber encourages businesses to expand in Poland

Doncaster Chamber is encouraging the towns businesses to learn more about overseas markets, particulary Poland.

The Chambers event was the first in a new series run by the Chamber over the next few months.

Phil Harris, CEO, Doncaster Chamber commented: “With traditional markets, such as the EU, at a relative standstill it is more important than ever for UK businesses to innovate their business plans, in order to move ahead of the market and maximise new opportunities.

“With the Prime Minister, David Cameron targeting £1 trillion of exports by the end of the decade, these bi-lateral seminars will go a small way to helping local businesses contribute towards this target.

“Finally, these seminars will also help address the UKs balance of trade deficit by providing businesses with the support and knowledge required to get their respective products and/or services to a more global audience”.

This event, run with the British Polish Chamber of Commerce (BPCC), saw a range of local businesses in attendance and included a presentation by the BPCC on why businesses should consider exporting to Poland, as well as information on the legal considerations, how to establish operations, financing and other support available.

The next ‘Doing Business In..’ event will look at the opportunities within the Indian market and takes place on 29 October. Places are available and can be booked through the Doncaster Chamber website.
