Ringtons partners with Northumberland County Council
Northumberland County Council’s Tourist Information Centres (TICs) have signed a deal with local tea and coffee merchant Ringtons Beverages to stock its specialist tea, coffee and biscuits.
Eleven of the county’s TICs – spanning from as far north as Berwick upon Tweed, and as far south as Hexham and Corbridge, and also including coastal areas such as Seahouses and Amble – will stock Ringtons’ Signature Northumberland Connoisseur Blend tea.
The centres will also stock a further selection of Ringtons products in the shop.
Paul Hodgson from Ringtons Beverages said: “Selling Ringtons in the Northumberland Tourist Information Centres is very exciting for us – not only can visitors to the area enjoy a proper cup of tea or coffee from a company which is a big part of the region’s history, but it is also great for us to be associated with such a beautiful and celebrated county like Northumberland.
“It also opens up new markets for us and gives us exposure to even more customers from all over the world who we may not previously have reached.”
Ringtons Beverages is also sponsoring The Northern Lands Partnership’s food trails which are supported by Northumberland County Council and Durham City Council and funded by the Department for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs (DEFRA).
